Swipe to delete photos — clean your camera roll like Tinder
Your camera roll has thousands of photos, and nobody wants to tick them one by one. The swipe approach works differently: photos appear one at a time, full-screen, and each decision takes one gesture — like Tinder, but for your own photo library.
Why swiping beats checkboxes
- One decision, one gesture. No selecting, scrolling or hunting for the delete button.
- You see the whole photo. A thumbnail will not tell you if a shot is blurry or someone blinked; full-screen, you see it instantly.
- No fear of mistakes. A swipe only marks a photo; everything is deleted with one confirmation at the end.
- Cleanup becomes a game. Short 5–10 minute sessions are easier to start than a “big cleanup”.
How to clean your camera roll with Nixo
- Install Nixo from the App Store or the Android APK and allow photo access.
- Choose what to sort: all photos, videos, screenshots or favorites.
- Swipe left to send a photo to Nixo’s trash, right to keep it. Love a shot? Favorite it without leaving the flow.
- At the end, confirm deletion with one tap — nothing is deleted without it. The app shows how many megabytes you freed.
Where to start to free the most space
- Videos. One video weighs as much as hundreds of photos — a few swipes free gigabytes.
- Screenshots. There are lots of them and most are throwaway — each decision takes a second.
- Bursts. Out of five identical shots keep the best one, swipe the rest left.
- Old photos later. Years-old photos take longer — they hold more memories. Save them for separate sessions.
How not to delete too much
- When in doubt, swipe right. Coming back to a photo later is easier than recovering a deleted one.
- On iPhone, deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days; on Android — in the gallery or Google Photos trash.
- If iCloud Photos or Google Photos sync is on, deleting on the phone deletes from the cloud too.

Nixo shows your library one photo at a time: swipe left to delete, right to keep. Videos and screenshots have their own filters, and everything is processed on your phone.
